If your agents are still repeating the same intro hundreds of times a week, you’re burning time and money. Our new Outbound Greeting lets agents pre-record their intro message that plays automatically when a call connects. No scripts. No wasted seconds. Just your best pitch, delivered every time.
Why did we build this
You asked. We delivered (but better this time).
The old version of this feature only worked at the account level. That meant every agent, across every team, had to use the same outbound greeting, no personalization, no flexibility.
But that doesn’t work for everyone.
High-performing agents want to sound like themselves. Some teams need legal disclosures, others want a brand-forward pitch. So we rebuilt this feature to give every user the ability to upload their custom greeting, while still giving admins control if needed.
Admins can now choose to:
- Let agents personalize their greetings
- Set a company-wide default
- Enforce a uniform message across all users
You decide what fits your workflow.
What it replaces
Manual intros. Repetitive scripts. Wasted time.
Let’s do some math:
- A typical outbound agent makes about 120 calls per day.
- The average greeting takes 8 seconds.
That’s 16 minutes per day per agent spent repeating the same intro. Over a month, that’s 5.3 hours of wasted talk time. For a team of 10 agents, you’re looking at 53 hours per month that could have been spent actually talking to customers.
With Outbound Greeting Recording, those intros happen automatically. Agents jump straight into the call when someone responds. No script-reading. No legalese. Just real conversations.
Real-world use cases
Case 1: Cold calling compliance
Your state requires a recording disclosure before a sales pitch. Forgetting it risks fines. Now you just upload a disclosure audio once. The system plays it on every call. No legal headaches.
Case 2: Personal branding in outreach
Your high-performer wants their calls to sound polished. She records her snappy 10-second pitch. It plays before the live conversation, helping her stand out without saying a word.
Case 3: Speeding up voicemail drops
If someone doesn’t pick up, agents can go straight to voicemail. Paired with RVM, the intro greeting leads seamlessly into your message with no need to repeat yourself across hundreds of drops.
Case 4: Multi-product teams
You run a multi-brand business and want different intros for different reps. Let each one upload a brand-aligned message. Central control with individual customization.
How to set it up (admin view)
- Go to Admin > Account > Calling Settings > Outbound Greetings
- Enable the toggle
- Upload an audio file or write a text-to-speech message
- Choose if you want to force the greeting at the Account-level or not
If not forced, the greeting recorded by the user will have priority over the one defined by the Admin.
How to use it (agent view)
- Head to Settings > Outbound Call > Outbound Greeting
- Choose Play my own recording
- Upload an audio file or write a text-to-speech message
If the greeting is defined and forced by your admin, you will still see it, but you cannot make changes.
How does it connect with everything else
Think of this as the intro to your call. It pairs perfectly with:
- Ringless Voicemail (RVM): Use the same uploaded greeting to tee up your drop.
- Call recording and compliance tools: Automatically disclose recording in your voice.
- Talk module: Centralize outbound settings where your team already works.
Tools like Aircall and JustCall allow admins to upload greetings for individual users or numbers, but the control typically stays with the admin. With Aloware, agents get direct control of their own outbound greetings, giving teams flexibility without giving up consistency.
