What is Form2Text?

Form2Text is an Aloware automation that sends a personalized SMS to a lead the instant they submit a form on your website — no waiting for a rep to notice, no manual outreach. The message uses the lead's own information (first name, what they asked about, what page they submitted from) so it reads like a personal text, not a templated auto-reply. It's the simplest way to make "speed to lead" actually happen, especially for teams that can't staff phones 24/7.

How does Form2Text work?

A form submission triggers a webhook into Aloware. Aloware reads the submitted data — phone number, name, interest, custom fields — and immediately fires a personalized SMS from your business number to the lead's phone. The whole thing happens in seconds, before the lead has closed your tab. Setup is one of two paths: a native HubSpot integration that triggers from any HubSpot form, or a webhook/Zapier connection that works with Facebook lead forms, LinkedIn lead gen, or any custom web form.

What is "speed to lead" and why does it matter?

"Speed to lead" is the time between a prospect's inquiry and your team's first response. The classic Harvard Business Review study found that responding within 5 minutes makes a lead 100x more likely to qualify than responding after 30 minutes, and 21x more likely to convert. Which lead forms can I connect to Form2Text?

The native path is HubSpot — Form2Text triggers from any HubSpot form or workflow with a few clicks. For everything else, Aloware connects via webhook or Zapier, which covers Facebook lead forms, LinkedIn lead gen forms, custom website forms (Webflow, WordPress, Typeform, etc.), and chat-to-form tools. If your form can fire a webhook, Aloware can text on it.

Can I personalize the SMS based on what the lead submitted?

Yes — and you should. Form2Text supports merge tokens for any field the form captures: first name, what they're interested in, the source page, custom fields like "deal size" or "preferred contact time." A good template looks like: "Hi {first_name}, thanks for asking about {interest}! I'm the {role} at {company} — what's the best time this week to chat for 10 minutes?" Personalization is the difference between a text the lead replies to and a text they tag as spam.

Is Form2Text compliant with TCPA and A2P 10DLC?

When done right, yes. A lead who voluntarily submits their phone number through your form has provided express consent for follow-up, which is the TCPA requirement — but your form should have a clear consent checkbox or disclosure stating that they may receive texts. For A2P 10DLC, Form2Text uses your registered Aloware sender, so the messages count toward your registered campaign and get the higher deliverability that comes with it. Your legal team should sign off on your form's consent language; the rest is handled by the platform.

What's the difference between Form2Text and Form2Call?

Form2Text sends an automatic SMS to the lead the moment they submit a form. Form2Call automatically connects the lead with a rep by phone — usually by ringing the rep first, then dialing the lead once a rep is available. Use Form2Text when you want to acknowledge the lead instantly without tying up a rep, and use Form2Call when the lead has explicitly asked for a callback or you want a high-touch, voice-first response. Most teams use both: Form2Text to acknowledge, Form2Call to qualify.

Can I combine Form2Text with a follow-up call sequence?

Yes — and this is one of the higher-converting setups Aloware customers use. Form2Text fires the instant SMS, and Aloware's automation can then queue the lead into a power-dialer sequence, schedule a callback task for the assigned rep, or chain into a Form2Call for live voice connection. Each step is configurable, so you can build something like: SMS in 30 seconds → call attempt in 5 minutes → second SMS in 2 hours → second call attempt the next morning.

What happens if the lead replies to the SMS?

The reply lands in the assigned rep's Aloware inbox (and in the contact record in your CRM) — so it's no longer just an automation, it's an active two-way conversation.
