Local Presence is an outbound calling feature that automatically matches your caller ID to the recipient's local area code. So a rep in Texas calling a prospect in Boston shows up as a 617 number on the prospect's screen — not an unknown out-of-state line. The mechanism is straightforward: Aloware maintains a pool of dedicated local numbers across hundreds of US area codes (plus UK and Canada), and selects the right one in real time based on each contact's location. Local Presence is one of the highest-ROI features for outbound sales teams because answer rates on familiar-looking numbers consistently run several times higher than on unrecognized ones.

How does Local Presence dialing work?

Three things happen automatically each time your team places an outbound call. (1) Aloware detects the recipient's area code from the phone number you're calling (or zip code, if you've configured location-aware routing that way). (2) The system selects a matching number from your dedicated Local Presence pool — the closest geographic match, or the same area code if available. (3) Your call goes out with that local caller ID, while inbound replies to that local number route back to your business. No manual configuration, no rep-side decisions — set it up once and it runs on every outbound call from then on.

Does Local Presence actually improve answer rates?

Yes — meaningfully, and the data is well-documented across the industry. Is Local Presence misleading or deceptive?

No — and the distinction matters. Local Presence shows a real, working phone number that belongs to your business, in an area code that matches your prospect's region. It's not spoofing, it's not a fake caller ID, and it's not a deceptive practice under TCPA or FCC rules. U.K. and Canada packages each include 75–90 numbers covering major regions in those countries. If your outbound program targets specific geographies, talk to sales — they can size the package to your actual call distribution rather than charging you for coverage you won't use.

Will Local Presence numbers get flagged as spam over time?

Less often than rented or shared numbers, but it's still something to monitor. Because Aloware's Local Presence pools are dedicated (not shared across customers), your numbers aren't damaged by other companies' calling patterns.
