What does the Aloware x Clio Manage integration do?

It connects Aloware to Clio Manage so that when a retainer is signed in Aloware, a Contact and a linked Matter are automatically created in Clio Manage, with all intake fields populated. Contacts already in Clio are automatically pulled into Aloware so you can call and message them. Everything else (dead leads, spam, unqualified inquiries) stays in Aloware only.

Do I still need Clio Grow?

That's up to you. Aloware does not replace Clio Grow; it works alongside it. Clio Grow handles web-based lead capture and intake forms. Aloware handles the communication side: calling leads, running SMS campaigns, AI-assisted qualification. If your firm already uses Clio Grow and wants to keep it, Aloware integrates with your Clio Manage account regardless. If you choose to consolidate and handle intake entirely in Aloware, that works too. The decision is yours.

Do I still need third-party automation tools?

No. The native integration replaces automation workarounds entirely: no multi-step flows to build, no additional subscriptions required, no duplicate contacts, and no broken triggers.

What intake fields can be mapped to Clio?

Any Aloware custom intake field: date of incident, police report status, at-fault party, medical treatment received, case type, and any other field your firm uses. We recommend creating your intake questions as custom fields in Aloware so they map directly to the Matter in Clio. You configure the mapping once in Aloware's integration settings and every signed retainer is then pushed with the full intake record.

How does contact sync work between Aloware and Clio?

Sync is directional by design. Contacts already in Clio Manage are automatically pulled into Aloware so you can call and message your existing clients without any manual import. In the other direction, Aloware only pushes a contact to Clio when a retainer is signed. This keeps Clio clean: only actual clients reach your matters management system.
